The United States Senate passed the Interim Appropriation Bill, which is expected to avoid the suspension of the Government Huh

According to news on 8 August, the United States Senate adopted a temporary measure on Saturday to fund federal institutions until 11 December, in order to avoid a catastrophic Federal Government pause in the weeks leading up to the mid-November elections. There were also press reports from Fox that Senator Darlene Graham (Republican-South Carolina) abstained in the vote of 90 in favour and 6 against. This does not necessarily avoid a complete halt in the Government, but it helps to prevent a halt on 1 October (the start of the Government's new fiscal year). The bill still needs to be harmonized upon the return of the House of Representatives from recess. Kim Xian
