DETENTION OF SUSPECTS IN LARGE-SCALE PIX HACKER CASES IS MAINTAINED AT THE BRAZILIAN HIGH COURT
According to Livecoins, the Brazilian High Court (STJ) denied an application for release from a large PIX hacker case and upheld his detention. The case concerned C&M Software, a payment infrastructure service provider, who investigated the alleged theft of approximately R$ 813 million (approximately US$ 160 million) by criminal groups through unauthorized access to their settlement system, and the subsequent decentralization of funds to nearly 300 bank accounts and the conversion of some of the funds into BTC and USDT to cover up the source of funds through multiple block chains. The main attack occurred in June 2025 and the case is still under investigation and trial。
