The federal deficit in the United States 10 months before 2026 was $1.8 trillion

On 11 August, local time, the Budget Office of the United States Congress estimated that the total federal budget deficit in the United States was $1.8 trillion 10 months before 2026. This figure is $169.0 billion higher than the previous fiscal year ' s deficit for the same period, $139.0 billion (an increase of 3 per cent) in income and $30.8 billion (an increase of 5 per cent) in expenditure.
