Trump was told to consider cutting taxes on capital gains to boost the mid-term election
On 12 August, according to a senior economic adviser and a former government official, the President of the United States, Trump, is seeking new policy commitments to show voters in advance of the mid-term elections, including a possible call for Congress to cut taxes on capital gains and to establish tax exemptions for the sale of certain houses. On Tuesday, the Director of the White House National Economic Commission, Hasset, stated that Trump wanted to put in place more incentives to get voters to support the Republican Party in the November elections. Kudlow, who served as the director of the National Economic Commission for the first term of his term and is still an ally of Trump, stated that he had recently discussed with Trump the “Inflation indexation of capital gains tax” programme, which was to adjust the value-added component of assets to inflation. Kudlow also recommended that capital gains tax be waived on the sale of houses valued at $2 million and below, and that “the boss (Trump) be very interested in this”。
