Binance CSO: No direct threat to encrypted assets from current quantum computers

Jimmy Su, Chief Security Officer of Binance, stated that the current quantum computer could not decipher the encryption technology that protected major digital assets such as bitcoin and the Etheraf, but warned the industry that it needed to be prepared in advance. In Binance Bolog, on 11 August, he answered five common questions about quantum calculations. Su states that the existing quantum computers are far from the scale and reliability required to decrypt digital asset encryption. He described quantum calculations as long-term security risks rather than direct threats to users. Su also mentioned that cyber fishing, malicious software, social engineering and wallet security remained more pressing threats. Binance is monitoring the development of quantum technology and assessing postquant safety standards while preparing infrastructure for future block chain migration。
