The agency says the Yangtze storage market is number three in the world for the first time
On 12 August, the market research institute Counterpoint released data that the NAND flash market in the second quarter of 2026 had 25 per cent, 22 per cent and 14 per cent of the shares of Samsung, SK Hercules and Yangtze, respectively, in the first three storage shares. However, the Yangtze storage industry ranks fifth in terms of revenue, lagging behind Migwang and Xinjiang, owing to the concentration of the product mix in consumer-level applications and the relatively low share of enterprise-level solid hard drives in high unit data centres.
