BITCOIN DEVELOPERS HAVE CALLED ON AI TO PROVIDE SECURITY ACCESS TO COUNTER CYBER THREATS

In an open letter issued on Monday, Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI) stated that, as AI-aided network threats become more complex, developers need credible access to the top AI model. BPI calls on the front-line AI laboratory to support the developers of Bitcoin and other open-source financial infrastructure to ensure that they are able to respond effectively to potential cyberattacks. The letter mentions that the current security access gap, which makes developers dependent on less capable models, could lead to serious security gaps affecting over $1 trillion in capital. Several major encryption companies, including Kraken and Ledger, have joined the request。
