BY MISTAKE, A USER PAID 1.6 BTC CHARGES, AND APPROXIMATELY $103,000 WAS FULLY CHARGED BY MINERS

On 13 August, owing to irregularities in the RBF script, which automatically raised the fees, a user paid 1.60 BTC, or approximately $10.28 million, in one transaction, without transferring any BTC to the recipient. The transaction was included in Bitcoin block 962142 on 12 August. The chain records that the transaction consisted of only one entry, totalling 160,343,885, which was ultimately paid to the miners as a handling fee, with an output of zero. This was due to the fact that the automated script operated by the user increased the RBF handling fee once a second, without a reasonable cap on the fees, which gradually absorbed the entire input amount. The block was dug by SpiderPool and the transaction contributed 88 per cent of the total BTC fees of approximately 1.82 units of the block。
