Galaxy Research: The Coldcard breach has resulted in the theft of at least 1778 BTC worth about $112 million

According to Wu, Galaxy Research stated that at least 1778 BTC, valued at approximately $112 million, had been stolen as a result of the attack related to the Coldcard loophole, and that the loss could eventually be higher. The research institute has tracked three major attack waves and more than 30 smaller attack footprints and identified at least 33 additional attacker address clusters. No new high-confidence attacks after 6 August have been detected. Some 1531 BTC remains at the attackers' control address, while some 246 BTC has been relocated, about 65 per cent of which flow through Coinjoin and about 35 per cent to the exchange or the bridge. Galaxy Research indicated that a list of relevant attacks had been provided to the encryption exchange, compliance and investigation agencies and law enforcement authorities。
