Trive Capital spent $215 million on Amazon, layout AI shopping and cloud computing growth opportunities

On 14 August, according to information received, the venture capital agency, Thrive Capital, created by Joshua Kushner, has purchased approximately $215 million in Amazon shares to further expand its investment profile in open-market companies. According to the regulatory documents, this investment will give the Amazon access to growth opportunities in the area of artificial intelligence, including AI Intelligence Shopping Agency (AIS) and AI computing infrastructure services for business clients. Earlier this month, for the first time, the Amazon market value broke $3 trillion and became the fifth global company to reach that milestone. The market continues to focus on its development potential in the areas of generating AI, cloud computing and AI-driven electric generators. Thrive Capital was previously known for investing in early technology companies with portfolios such as SpaceX, Stripe and OpenAI. In recent years, it has gradually increased its investments in listed companies, including Figma, StubHub and Oscar Health. Earlier this year, Thrive also disclosed to investors that approximately $100 million had been invested to buy Shopifest shares on the grounds that AI technology was driving a new round of growth in the electricity sector. This investment shows that Thrive Capital is moving further from its traditional venture capital model to an “AI-era core asset investor” by sharing artificial intelligence infrastructure and applying eco-growth dividends through the deployment of large technology companies.
