NVIDIA INVESTED $3 BILLION IN LAYOUT AI INFRASTRUCTURE
NVIDIA (Nasdark:NVDA) will invest up to $3 billion in Lancium, an electric infrastructure developer responsible for the Stargate data centre project in Abilin, Texas. The transaction was divided into two parts: an initial investment of $2 billion, with about 20 per cent of the share in Lancium, and a further investment of $1 billion based on firm-specific objectives. The Lancium flagship project, a 1,000-acre Lancium clean-up campus, has become the first operational site in Stargate. At a private gathering in Taipei, NVIDIA's CEO Wong In-hoon stated that the return on AI's infrastructure investment, which had been significantly replaced over the past six months, was now profitable on a scale. NVIDIA investments will provide Lancium with growth capital, with the possibility of an IPO in 2027。
