Iran: countries without American military bases are safer
In an interview broadcast on 18 August, Iranian Foreign Minister Aragzi stated that the recent military conflict between Iran and the United States of America had proved that reliance on external military forces and bases could not guarantee the security of the Gulf States. The presence of United States troops and military bases, as noted by Alagzi, not only fails to provide security for the countries concerned, but has become a destabilizing factor and a safer country without a United States military base. It was also stated that Iran did not seek a ceasefire, but rather a complete end to the war and did not want to fall into the cycle of a brief ceasefire to re-engage。
