Bybit issued a security report for the first half of 2026: intercepting potential losses of over $700 million
Bybit released today the report on risks and security for the first half of 2026, which shows that, following the security incident of February 2025, Bybit has completely upgraded its security structure to a new defence model that is more early detection, faster response and continuous adaptation. The core points of the report included the interception of more than 30,000 suspicious withdrawals in the first half of the year, the protection of nearly 20,000 users against potential losses of over $700 million, and an average of 4.7 minutes (95 per cent in 10 minutes). In addition, Bybit achieves 100 per cent chain monitoring, covering all business-related chain activities, disposes of 10 security incidents with zero loss of platform, identifies approximately $212 million in potential fraudulent chain funds and blacks out over 10,000 malicious addresses. David Zong, Chief of Wind Control and Security, Bybit Group, stated that using AI to enhance wind control capabilities and to ensure the security of AI itself was a priority, but that key security decisions remained centred on manual judgement。
