Charles Hoskinson: Cardano needs a new encrypted narrative to attract $10 trillion
Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, stated at the Wyoming Block Chain Seminar in 2026 that the encryption industry needed to go beyond traditional fast-trading, low-cost payments and financial products to attract billions of new users and potential billion dollars of capital. In his view, the industry needed to develop to achieve that goal. According to Hoskinson, proxy commerce is one of the greatest opportunities for encryption and it is expected that by 2030 AI agents will be an important part of the economy and will be able to automatically handle daily purchases and financial transactions. He noted that users could provide budget and instructions to AI agents, who would automatically manage purchases. In addition, Hoskinson mentioned that, as interoperability between block chain networks and other technologies has increased, encrypted ecosystems have become less isolated, so that enterprises can link existing systems to the emerging block chain infrastructure。
