Citibank plans to provide bitcoin hosting services to institutional clients during the year

Citibank plans to provide bitcoin hosting services to institutional clients later this year through its Custody+ platform. The service will integrate bitcoin with traditional assets such as equities, bonds and the like into the same hosting framework, with a system through which clients can use hosting, clearing, foreign exchange, cash and liquidity services. Bitcoin will be the first digital asset to be supported by Citibank ' s new hosting services, and Citibank has not yet published a specific date of entry or a list of its first clients. Citibank indicated that Custody+ would provide real-time settlements, foreign exchange services, automatic hedges, cash management and liquidity tools. In the United States, the system has reduced the processing time for some voluntary corporate actions by up to 92 per cent, of which 96 per cent can be completed within two hours. According to Chris Cox, head of Citi Investor Services, Citi invests more than $2 billion a year on the Services platform。
