Grayscale study: privacy protection or critical needs for digital currency

The Grayscale study suggests that privacy protection can be an important demand in the digital currency field as stable currencies, block chain applications and artificial intelligence drive financial transparency. Zcash is a decentrized digital currency, similar to Bitcoin, which supports the concealment of the sender, the recipient and the amount of the transaction through a zero-knowledge certificate, so that it has similar private attributes to the cash. The report states that Zcash has been upgraded after years of agreement, that the use of shielding transactions is increasing and that wallets and infrastructure are being developed, but that the privacy track is still at risk of regulation, technological upgrading and ecological adoption. The current market value of ZEC is about $8 billion, representing only about 0.6 per cent of the encrypted “digital currency” plate, if it will have a 5 per cent share in the market in the future, the theoretical valuation space could expand by about ninefold. Grayscale argues that the core investment logic of Zcash lies in whether the market will reassess the value of privacy in the digital monetary system, rather than replacing Bitcoin as the dominant currency。
