Iranian officials claim that the United States has proven that it does not understand diplomatic language

On 22 August, Ibrahim Aziz, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Parliament of Iran, wrote in social media that the United States had demonstrated that it “does not understand the language of diplomacy” and would not take the initiative to lift sanctions against Iraq, release Iran's related assets and cease its “piracy”. Aziz indicated that history would prove that the “language of strength” would force the United States not only to take the above-mentioned measures, but also to apologize to the Iranian people and eventually to withdraw from the area.
