AI Founder Emerald AI completed $150 million in financing
Emerald AI announced the completion of $150 million in financing, valued at $1.05 billion. This round was led by DCVC and Energize Capital, with the participation of Weeda, Samsung, Ge Vernova, Salesforce Ventures and others. The company uses proprietary software to help the data centre to adjust its electricity to grid demand flexibly: to take off at peaks, to use excess computing power at low valleys, and to effectively reduce the pressure on power supply from AI-calculations. Contracts for landings in California and Virginia are currently under way and are being tested in collaboration with the British Virgin Islands and Oracle. The founder, Sivaram, stated that the goal was to transform the data centre from a “grid burden” to a flexible resource that would mitigate local rebounds in data centre construction。
