Sources: Iran wishes to convey the terms of the negotiations to the United States through Pakistan

On 25 August, according to the Iranian side ' s local time, a source close to the Iranian negotiating team indicated that the Iraqi side wished to clearly convey to the United States, through Pakistan, its position on the Strait of Hormuz and the terms of the negotiations. The source stated that the Iranian side had made its position clear to the Palestinian side at a meeting with the visiting Chief of Staff of the Palestinian Army, Munir. The conditions put forward by the Iraqi side include compliance by the United States with the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and the relevant provisions, article V of which deals with the elements of Iran ' s management arrangements for the Strait of Hormuz.
