TRISTAR ELECTRONICS, SK HERCULES AND TOTTON ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO COMMERCIALIZE THE HBC CHIP
Samsung Electronics, SK Hercules, and Chase are working actively to advance the commercialization of high bandwidth computing (HBC) chips. On 26 August, local time, Durga Malladi, Executive Vice-President of the company, stated at the “Deutsche Bank 2026 Science and Technology Conference”, “I went to Korea to meet with two major memory manufacturers after I presented HBC's strengths and HBM's shortcomings at the recent Investor Day event”. At present, Samsung Electronics and SK Hercules are simultaneously advancing the development of HBC, mainly responsible for the stacking of DRAM chips, and are planning to integrate technologies and encapsulation processes in cooperation with desk power.
