Cosmos Labs: 6 Cosmos EVM networks were exploited and lost approximately $5.72 million

Wu stated that it had been informed that Cosmos Labs had published a copy of the security incident at Cosmos EVM, and that a total of six Cosmos EVM networks had been exploited between 20 and 25 August. The attackers exchanged some $2.87 million of the affected assets across the chain in DEX, while some $2.85 million of the assets were sold through the Centralized Exchange, and the related CEX accounts, totalling approximately $5.72 million, are currently frozen pending investigation. The impact of the loophole is less than the Cosmos EVM version of V0.6.2 or v0.7.2. Cosmos Labs also acknowledged that the loophole had previously been miscalculated, through the leakage reward scheme, that it would not threaten the funds of the production network users, and indicated that it would improve the classification and disclosure process of key loopholes。
