Galaxy Research: 6 sleeping bitcoin wallets transferred 553.59 BTCs
Galaxy Research data show that from 16 to 26 August, a total of 553.59 Bitcoin wallets, valued at approximately $40 million, were transferred from 16 to 26 August, with one of them sleeping for more than 15 years. Five wallets transferred BTC to an address that was not linked to a known exchange, while another wallet transferred 40 BTCs to the German encrypted hosting and trading servicer Boerse Stuttgart Digital, so that the transfer did not necessarily imply sale. According to Alex Thorn, research director of Galaxy Digital, the chain of sleeping bitcoin in the second quarter of this year has fallen to its lowest level since the third quarter of 2022, with a projected year-wide shift of less than half the size of last year's year in 2026。
