External power supply to the Zaporo fever nuclear power plant continued to be disrupted, with only about 10 days of spare energy available

In a statement issued on 29 August, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Grossy, stated that the external power supply at the Zapolo fever nuclear power plant had been interrupted for more than a week and that emergency diesel generators were currently being used to maintain the electricity required for nuclear safety and security. The Agency warns that if external power is not restored or diesel fuel is replenished in the near future, the power station may be exposed to a full-station power outage after about 10 days. For its part, the Zaporo fever nuclear power plant reported that the current on-site diesel reserves could be maintained for approximately 10 days, meeting minimum regulatory requirements. According to the International Atomic Energy Agency, the last supply of diesel fuel for the power plant was in March of this year, and the follow-on supply, originally scheduled for May, was delayed by the frequency of military activities on the ground。
