Iran says the U.S. military base in the vicinity only protects Israel

On 28 August, local time, Iranian Foreign Minister Aragzi stated that the outcome of the war proved that the United States military bases in neighbouring countries, which had been designed to “protect Israel”, could not maintain the security of those countries at all. Iran's attack on those bases was in response to the aggression by the United States forces, which did not attack neighbouring countries, but only United States military personnel and installations, while those without United States bases were safe. Aragzi stressed that “where the United States bases are located, they were the legitimate targets of Iran during the United States war against Iran”。
