Genius Group plans to re-purchase the BTC in Q4, with a target of $827 million in Bitcoin in 2031
On 30 August, Genius Group published a $1.2 billion capital plan to finance the dual treasury of AI and Bitcoin using the shelf registration levels that had been declared effective by the United States SEC in July 2025. The objectives approved by the corporate board of directors were to establish an AI bank of $800 million and a Bitcoin bank of $827 million by the fiscal year 2031 and to raise total assets to $2 billion. Genius Group plans to use sustainable priority securities as the main financing instrument, stating that this approach is aimed at increasing net assets per share and reducing dilution of ordinary equity holders. The company proposes to issue up front up to $12.5 million in long-term priority securities, which are expected to be non-convertable and to pay the floating gains on a monthly basis; the funds will be invested in the AI Treasury, the Bitcoin Treasury, and the United States dollar reserve, which will cover some 18 months of preferential dividends. Specific provisions and timing of issuance have not yet been determined. The company currently had net assets of $106.6 million, with net assets of $0.62 per share and a closing price of $0.18 as at 26 August. Genius Group anticipates that each share of net assets may rise to $2 to $4 over the next five years, but this target depends on the financing implementation and market environment. The company had previously withdrawn from the Bitcoin hold and planned to restart the purchase of BTC in the fourth quarter of 2026。
