Five companies in Viet Nam have been evaluated through the first round of the encryption exchange and the first licence plates have not yet been issued

On 31 August, the Viet Nam News Agency reported that Viet Nam had not yet issued its first encrypted asset exchange licence plates, but that five companies had completed the first round of assessments and that the next step was to meet the information system security requirements of Level 4 and invest at least 10 trillion Vietnamese guilders (approximately $383 million) in capital. At the same time, new regulations on penalties for encrypted assets and market irregularities in Viet Nam will enter into force on 1 September. According to the report, experts had stated that domestic investors would not be punished for using unlicensed platforms immediately from the same day; under the current pilot arrangement, domestic investors would be required to trade through licence platforms six months after the first service provider had been issued licence plates by the Ministry of Finance。
