Coinbase and Deribit plan merged on 9 September to consolidate the spot and derivative trading system

On 31 August, Adam indicated that Deribit spot liquidity had been consolidated into Coinbase and reserve assets had been held in Coinbase in preparation for the 9 September merger. Coinbase will consolidate options, derivatives liquidity and trading infrastructure for spot, global users, institutional systems and Deribit. After the merger, Coinbase will integrate spot, durability, options and futures into the same trading system, with a new generation of blending engines at the base of the derivatives, combining decentralized liquidity。
