IRGC: The primary focus now is deterrence not war or negotiation

On 1 September, according to the Iranian Press TV report, Mohammad Reza Naqdi, a senior military commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, stated that Iran ' s primary strategy in the continuing confrontation between the United States and Iran was to establish maximum deterrence, not to restart military clashes or negotiate with the enemy. Naqdi stated that after about six months of war, Iran was considering moving to a more offensive phase of military confrontation, targeting the United States and Israel. Naqdi added: “We have so far been engaged in conventional warfare, which has not yet reached the stage of asymmetric warfare, which means waging war on Wall Street, in Manhattan, anywhere, at any time. Most of today's incumbent Iranian commanders tend and favour offensive thinking.” He indicated that all weapons production facilities damaged during the recent war had been rebuilt in very safe locations and that new and advanced technologies were being used to operate with greater productivity。
