USSEC PROPOSES TO ALLOW TRANSFER AGENTS TO USE BLOCK CHAINS TO RECORD OWNERSHIP OF SECURITIES
On 2 September, Fox Business Encrypted Journalists wrote on platform X that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission had today published another proposal for rules related to the encryption industry to update decades-old rules for transfer agents to include block-chain technology and monetized securities. The proposal would allow transfer agents responsible for the maintenance of security title records to use block chains as official records. The relevant agencies are also required to report on the number of monetized securities they provide and the block chain platform they use.
