Thai businessman charged Tether with freezing $42 million

A Thai businessman filed a lawsuit with the District Court of New York against Téther, a stabilizer, claiming that it had illegally frozen $42 million in October 2025, in connection with a $61 million “pork slaughter” fraud. The plaintiff stated that Tether had frozen the funds without a decree, although they admitted to having participated in the fraud. The plaintiff sought relief from the freezing of funds and compensation for potential punitive damages。
