Kalshi's plan is to request CFTC to approve WTI's contract for renewal

According to Bloomberg, Kalshi plans to apply to the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for regulatory approval of the WTI Oil Extension Contract as early as next week. The contract will not have a fixed maturity date and is expected to be traded all day from Monday to Friday. If approved by the CTC, the contract would be the first WTI to be extended through regulated United States transactions. Currently, the specific terms of the contract, the bond requirement and the settlement modalities have not yet been confirmed and CFTC will independently assess the Kalshi ' s application。
