Backpack US appointed Kyle Samani, Solana Investor, as a Board Member

Backpack US appointed Kyle Samani, co-founder of Multicoin Capital, on 2 September, to the Board of Directors to expand its compliance financial services in the United States. Samani is an early Solana investor and has long supported block-chain-based capital markets. He withdrew from the day-to-day management of Multicoin Capital in February 2026, but maintained an advisory relationship with the venture capital company. This appointment enabled Samani to assume a governance role in Backpack US rather than an executive position. According to Armani Ferrante, Chief Executive Officer of Backpack, Samani ' s experience with decentralised networks and encryption makes him an appropriate consultant. Backpack describes itself as a financial services group that connects the encrypted market with traditional finance, with products such as an encrypted exchange, a self-hosted wallet and Backpack Security。
