GPT-6 Astra is about to be released: OpenAI official warehouse is already GPT-6
GPT-6 has appeared directly at the official OpenAI GitHub warehouse. An OpenAI developer submitted a PR to the Computer Use Example Project, adding two new environments, gpt6-js-image and gpt6-py-image, also directly known as codex/gpt6-computer-use-images. The two sets of environments are for Java Script and Python, respectively. The former installed Playwright and Chromium, while the latter used PyAutoGUI, Chromium and Linux desktop environments to allow Agent to view screens, operate browsers and desktops. PR has not been merged at this time and there is no GPS-6 API call in it, just to prepare for the operational environment of ComputerUse. In a recent interview with SamAltman, it was stated that the computer used to operate the model had been slow or unserviceable, but Astra made him feel for the first time that he had “a level similar to that of human beings”. Now he's going to let the model look for information in different applications instead of opening the search on his own。
