America is exposed to Iran's war spending or up to $100 billion

On 16 July, according to information from the United States side on 15 July, an assessment within the United States Department of Defense indicated that United States actual expenditure on military operations in Iran could be as high as $100 billion, well above the US Government's earlier announcement of some $30 billion. According to the information received, the gap between the two is such that the official estimates do not include undisclosed war expenditures, the loss of advanced warplanes and the heavy cost of damage to United States military installations in the Middle East. Senator Angus King of the United States Congress stated that the American population was very disappointed that it was not known about the actual expenditures of the war, “not to mention the extra cost of the war to the population, for example, in terms of petrol prices”.
