Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran: Memorandum of Understanding does not allow the United States to open an independent parallel course in the Strait of Hormuz

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran stated on 18 local time that article V of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States did not allow the United States to open an independent parallel route in the Strait of Hormuz. The memorandum of understanding is based on mutual commitments between the two countries, which Iran will abide by as long as the United States fulfils its commitments。
