Britain has included the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in its national security law with a maximum sentence of 14 years' imprisonment
the united kingdom has included the islamic revolutionary guard corps in schedule 6a of the national security act 2023 since 17 july. a person or enterprise who acquires, accepts or retains an interest provided directly or indirectly by the organization and who knows or ought to know its origin is liable to imprisonment for a maximum of 14 years. the provision does not explicitly refer to encrypted assets, but applies to money or any valuables and may cover transfers of stable currency and other chains. since a block-chain transaction may be completed before the wallet is identified, the exchange, the trustee, the issuer and the paying firm are required to record when the wallet was identified, the information available at the time and the subsequent disposal. this designation is not equivalent to the british financial sanctions and does not automatically trigger an asset freeze or a currency stabilization freeze。
