Submission of a declaration of registration of Worldcoin ETF to the SEC to be listed in NASDAQ
On 21 July, Grayscale submitted to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission a registration declaration for Grayscale Worldcoin ETF, which was to be launched with the first ETF only linked to Worldcoin (WLD). The Fund will hold directly the original WLD of WorldNetwork and track its value, net of Fund costs and other liabilities, through passive investments. If approved, the ETF will trade in NASDAQ based on NASDAQ. Melon Bank, New York, is proposed to act as the transfer agent and the encrypted hosting agency BitGo Bank&Trust is proposed to act as the custodian of assets. The current market value of WLD is approximately $1.3 billion, ranking 57th among encrypted assets. Worldcoin was renamed World, created jointly by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, for the purpose of biometric identification, encrypted assets and block chain identification. This application is the latest in a greyscale expansion of encrypted investment products. It had previously introduced bitcoin and ETF and applied for funds linked to the assets of dogs, Solana and Chainlink。
