Winklevoss brothers donate $10 million bitcoin to MAGA

On 22 July, according to CryptoSlate, the latest United States Federal Electoral Commission (FEC) documents show that Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss donated a bitcoin worth $10,018,464.91 (US$5,006,604.47 and US$5,011,860.44, respectively) on 19 June 2026 to Maga Inc., the super-political action committee of the Trump camp. The donation took place 23 days after the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced that it had joined the Gemini suit in its encryption exchange, seeking annulment of the 2025 judgement. FEC records show that it sold donated bitcoin through Gemini. CFTC had previously indicated that, as the original complaint was based on unreliable whistleblower statements and procedural defects, it should not have brought an action under the current criteria, and had therefore agreed to jointly request the court to set aside the consent order with Gemini, but that the $5 million fine paid by Gemini in 2025 would not be refunded。
