The House of Representatives passed an annual defence policy bill totalling over trillion dollars

On 23 July, journalists learned on 22 July local time that the United States House of Representatives had passed an annual defence policy bill totalling nearly $1.15 trillion by a vote of 216 to 212 on the same day. The bill will be sent to the Senate for a vote. According to the information received, this Defence Authorization Act (NDAA), which aims to expand the United States' defence production capacity and will increase the remuneration of all active military personnel, authorizes the allocation of funds for the development of all types of aircraft, including the next generation of fighter jets, B-21 Raider bombers, P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, F-35 fighter planes and Chinook and Blackhawk helicopters. The Act also authorizes funds for the construction and support of a fourth Colombian class ballistic missile nuclear submarine, two Virginia class nuclear submarines and two Ali Burke class destroyers.
