Supreme Leader of Iran: Defence of Lebanon is Iraq's “strategic mission”

On 27 July, according to the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency, on 26 July, Iranian Supreme Leader Mujtaba stated that Iran's support for the Front de résistance was a “strategic mission”. Mujtaba stressed that, in accordance with the policy set by Iran's late Supreme Leader Khamenei, Iran regarded the defence of Lebanon as its strategic mission “to preserve Lebanon's territorial integrity and to put an end to the Zionist regime's aggression once and for all and without conditions, which remains the first condition for an end to this war”.
