Iran's attack was falsely reported

On 10 July, the Iranian news agency Mehr reported that on the night of 9 July local time, the sound of explosions had been heard repeatedly in Iran, including in the southern coastal cities of Bushehr, Chogadaq and Abbas, and in the south-eastern coastal city of Konarak. Axios subsequently reported that United States officials had stated that United States forces had nothing to do with the latest attack on Iran. About an hour later, Iranian national media denied reports of attacks, which Iranian officials claimed were caused by the launch of an air defence system. CNN also confirmed that the United States did not strike Iran an hour ago. This followed two consecutive days of attacks by United States forces against Iran and some 170 military targets。
