Sources: Egypt and Hamas discussing the implementation of the ceasefire in Gaza

On 10 July, Egyptian security sources indicated that a delegation from the leadership of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) had met with Egyptian officials in Cairo, Egypt, on the same day, to focus on the implementation of phase II of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The unnamed source said that a delegation of senior Hamas officials had confirmed during the talks that the administration of the Gaza Strip would be transferred to the National Administrative Council of Gaza and that it had agreed to place the weapons in its custody.
