According to the announcement made on Monday on the Government website, the Fund's primary digital asset in its initial portfolio is the BNB — a practical token in the chain of block blocks, which drives transactions, payments and governance.

Alem Cripto Fund was created by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development and managed by Qazaqstan Venture Group under the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC). Its main objective is to invest in long-term digital assets and to establish strategic reserves.

It has been a close partner of the Government of Kazakhstan since 2022. At that time, the Chief Executive Officer of Bianan, Zhao Chang Peng (CZ), signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Development of Kazakhstan to help develop a national regulatory framework for encryption.

Less than a week ago, Kazakhstan also launched its own Tenge-backed stabilization currency KZTE, which was launched on the Solana network in cooperation with Mastercard, Intebix and Eurosian Bank.

As a country with a population of about 20 million people in Central Asia, Kazakhstan has long been an important hub for encrypted currency mining. In 2021, it ranked second among the global bitcoin algorithms. With the launch of the “CryptoCity” pilot area in 2025 and President Kassym-Jomat Tokayev's call for a strategic encryption reserve and a complete digital asset ecosystem, Kazakhstan is gradually refining its encryption policy.
