Bluesky announced 100 million dollars of B-round financing after completing the CEO handover. The company did not disclose the latest valuation but indicated that the round would continue to be used to expand the team and advance the development of the Bluesky application and the bottom AT Protocol.

Finance expansion

The round involved a number of institutions, including Alumni Ventures, True Ventures, and Anthos Capital, Bloomberg Beta and Knight Foundation. The last round of Bluesky was $15 million in A, completed in 2024, followed by $8 million in seed wheels.

User size continues to grow

According to the company, the global number of Bluesky users has increased from 13 million to over 43 million since Round A. The application ecology around AT Protocol is also expanding, ranging from start-up projects such as Skylight and Flashes to open social applications under the flag of Flipboard Surf.

Open Social Ecoextension

Bluesky also referred to the emergence of new communities around the agreement, such as Blacksky for black users. According to the company, the Atmosphere ecology currently contains about 20 billion public records, including interactive data such as posts, praises, reviews, etc.
