In cooperation with the Solana Foundation, the Japanese financial giant, SBI Holdings, plans to establish a network of financial markets in Japan with the aim of linking the country ' s financial assets to the liquidity of Asia and global markets.
Focus on Stabilizing Currency and Dinetization Assets
This cooperation will focus on real world assets for the stabilization of currency and monetization, while developing financial infrastructure, cross-border settlements and AI agents for institutional investors.
SBI Solana Global lead extension
As part of this cooperation, the SBI plans to change its name of `SBI R3 Japan' to `SBI Solana Global' and to develop a new growth strategy focusing on the deployment of financial infrastructure on the Solana network. The company will support the issuance and distribution of stable coins, including the SBI Yen stabilization currency, JPYSC, and help to structure and distribute monetized corporate bonds, commercial notes, funds and real estate.
Japan promotes encryption into traditional finance
Japan has worked in recent years to develop a regulatory framework to bring stable currency and digital assets closer to the mainstream financial system. On 10 April, the Cabinet of Japan approved a bill to classify encrypted assets as financial instruments, which is expected to enter into force next year.
The cooperation between SBI and Solana aims to further strengthen Japan ' s position as a financial centre in the Asian chain, in combination with Japan ' s rich financial assets and market participants and with its global network.
