Under Coinbase Base founder Jesse Pollak stated that the company disclosed that Base would adjust the division of product and management. He will no longer be directly responsible for the Base application team, and the work will be returned to Coinbase, which will be taken over by Jordan Fish, commonly known as Cobie in the encryption ring.

The social bets on the chain are not as expected.

Pollak wrote on social platform that he had been betting on the developers and chain-based raw social products for the past two years, arguing that Farcaster, Zora, mini-applications and creators' tokens would lead to the next growth in encryption. However, he recently admitted that the route had not met expectations and that social applications along the chain had “almost completely collapsed”.

At the same time, he said that developers did promote some of the adoption of growth, but mainly in products such as stable currency, forecast markets and sustainable contracts, rather than in social applications. This also means that Base will follow up with more resources to the infrastructure closer to the trading and payment scene.

Pollak to the bottom chain.

According to Pollak, his next focus is to turn Base into a "global financial block chain." Base will then give priority to advancing trade, payment and AI agency-related competencies, instead of placing chain socialization at the core of growth.

This adjustment also reflects the rejuvenation of Base's growth path. Transactions, payments and automated agents are closer to current needs than social narratives, and are more easily linked to existing Coinbase operations.

Cobie took over the application team.

Pollak states that the Base application team will return to work within the Coinbase system, which is being developed by Cobie. His mission is to make Base app the "best of the chain" and not just Base's own ecology.

Cobie was also the founder of Echo. Echo is a platform to help start-up projects finance directly to the community. Coinbase completed the Echo acquisition last year, trading $375 million.

Additional information:The core change in this adjustment is that Base returns the application layer management back to Coinbase, while Pollak himself moves to bottom block chain positioning and infrastructure development.
