Project Eleven states that financial support has been provided for a zero-knowledge certification programme. The programme attempts to use the wallet ' s own derivative path as a proof of ownership after quantum calculations can forge a signature. The company indicated that the prototype could be completed on the laptop in 243 milliseconds.

This progress is linked to discussions in Bitcoin communities around quantum risk. BIP-361 proposes to freeze the address threatened with quantum and to provide for subsequent recovery. The proposal was put forward in April by Jameson Lopp and others, and covered about 34 per cent of the supply of bitcoin, as well as about 1.1 million BTCs attributed to Chung.

The derivative path proves control.

Project Eleven's program is built on the wallet derivative path. Modern wallets generate key-by-keys from seed materials, and the process is one-way. A user can prove control over an address by proving that it owns the key material above the derivative tree without having to disclose the private key.

Still unable to cover early bitcoin

However, there are still significant limitations to this tool. Project Eleven states that the prototype has not been audited and only three bitcoin addresses are supported for the time being and cannot be used in Taproot. More importantly, it relies on a post-BIP-32 wallet structure, and Bitcoin, which was dug early in China, does not have seed phrases or derivative pathways and therefore cannot be restored through this method.
