Micro-strategies could sell up to $5 billion in bitcoin under the current capital scheme
On 2 August, micro-strategies were likely to sell up to $5 billion in bitcoin under the current capital plan. This is four times more than they initially indicated could be sold under the new capital management plan. Chief Executive Officer Phong Le indicated that potential sales revenue could be used to increase its dollar reserves by $1.25 billion, to finance its dividends and interest obligations of approximately $1.76 billion per year, and to finance stock buy-backs up to $2 billion. The $5 billion figure is the ceiling under the current plan, although Michael Saylor suggests that the total amount may eventually be higher。
