Iranian officials claim to have clarified with Oman the general framework for passage in the Strait of Hormuz

On 8 August, Hassan Kashkawi, spokesman for the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament, stated that Iran and Oman had clarified the general framework of the memorandum of understanding relating to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, the final text and details of which would be made public in the near future.
