Ledger: BIP-110 lacks re-protection, transfers or sells forklifts or endangers the main chain assets

On 9 August, Ledger, a hardware wallet manufacturer, issued a security alert regarding the BIP-110 fork, stating that BIP-110 was a bitcoin soft fork programme that had no built-in replay protection, and that, if a stand-alone chain was formed, the BTC holder might have acquired the same amount of corresponding assets in the new chain, but that the same signature transaction might have been accepted at the beginning of the two chains. If a user tries to move or sell assets in the BIP-110 chain, the transaction may be "re-loaned" to the Bitcoin main chain, leading to a simultaneous transfer of the corresponding BTC. Ledger states that its equipment is technically capable of signing the relevant transactions, but recommends not to receive or operate BIP-110 coins before re-assigning the protection mechanism。
